“Public Policy and Decision Making”,  facilitated by – Dave Kanner

The September kick-off meeting of the LWVRV will present a highly-interactive program, “Public Policy and Decision Making”, facilitated by Dave Kanner, the new City Administrator of Ashland and formerly County Administrator in Deschutes County.  Attendees will have the
opportunity to become the decision and policy makers on a City Council. What are the guidelines you will use for making decisions on the public level? How do they differ from the private sector? How is equity   reached? When there are valid choices, how is one chosen. You will actually have a problem to deliberate and vote on.

Where: Ashland Elks Lodge, 255 East Main Street, Ashland, Oregon

Parking is at the rear of the building. Turn left at the corner after 255 Main Street. The parking lot is at the bottom of the street, with a large gate which will be open for us. Go in the rear door and follow signs to the elevator. Our lunch will be vegetable soup, tossed green salad, finger sandwiches, water, coffee, and iced tea. A special dessert is included with the meal to celebrate the U. S. Constitution’s birthday!
